Christmas Book Haul

Long time no see!
I've fallen off the blogging wagon lately so I thought it was high time I got back to it!
Maintaining two blogs is hard, especially when you do it as just a hobby, so this one fell by the wayside a little bit but I'm getting back into it now and hope to keep it up!

Today I'm going to do a Christmas book haul, it's only very small because I think people have given up buying me books because I own them all!
Far From the Madding Crowd - An immediate success when it was first published in 1874, Thomas Hardy's 'pastoral tale' of the wilful and capricious Bathsheba Everdene, her three suitors – the faithful shepherd Gabriel Oak, the lonely widower Farmer Boldwood, and the dashing but faithless Sergeant Troy – and the tragic consequence of her eventual choice remains one of the most enduring and popular English novels.
I already own this novel in a different edition, because I like to collect different editions of classic novels, but I'm a particular fan of the Penguin Clothbound Classics which is the collection this one is from.
They're so beautiful and I have dreams of having a whole shelf dedicated to these books.
Christmas at Battersea - On Christmas Day this year, an army of dedicated volunteers will be making the day as special as possible for the four-legged residents of Battersea, with knitted jumpers for poorly puppies and turkey dinners for hungry kittens.
Christmas at Battersea features tales of rescue from Battersea's staff, and of inspirational owners who find a place in their hearts and homes for abandoned pets.
My friend bought me this because I'm a sucker for a sad animal story, I love Paul O Grady's TV show that's set at Battersea too so this will be a nice, uplifting read for me.
Tequila Mockingbird - Tequila Mockingbird is the ultimate cocktail book for the literary obsessed. Featuring 65 delicious drink recipes--paired with wry commentary on history's most beloved novels--the book also includes bar bites, drinking games, and whimsical illustrations throughout. Even if you don't have a B.A. in English, tonight you're gonna drink like you do. Drinks include: The Pitcher of Dorian Grey Goose The Last of the Mojitos Love in the Time of Kahlua Romeo and Julep A Rum of One's Own Are You There, God? It's Me, Margarita Vermouth the Bell Tolls and more!
I'm a big fan of books and also quite an enthusiastic fan of cocktails (ahem) so this book is perfect for me! It's a very funny book and I'd definitely be down for trying one (or all 65) of the cocktails!
