January 2014 Book Haul!

Hi-de-hi campers!
My first ever book haul on this blog is about to commence, and I'm pretty stoked!
I haven't bought many books this month, but definitely enough for a good old haul!
I bought all of these books from Amazon because I just find they do the BEST deals, but if you know any great book retailers then let me know!

Synopsis - Cath and Wren are identical twins, and until recently they did absolutely everything together. Now they're off to university and Wren's decided she doesn't want to be one half of a pair any more - she wants to dance, meet boys, go to parties and let loose. It's not so easy for Cath. She's horribly shy and has always buried herself in the fan fiction she writes, where she always knows exactly what to say and can write a romance far more intense than anything she's experienced in real life.
Without Wren Cath is completely on her own and totally outside her comfort zone. She's got a surly room-mate with a charming, always-around boyfriend, a fiction-writing professor who thinks fan fiction is the end of the civilized world, a handsome classmate who only wants to talk about words . . . And she can't stop worrying about her dad, who's loving and fragile and has never really been alone.
Now Cath has to decide whether she's ready to open her heart to new people and new experiences, and she's realizing that there's more to learn about love than she ever thought possible . . .

I'm super excited to read this book because I've heard SO much amazing stuff about it! I love the cover, from the mint green colour to the super-cute illustrations, and let's face it, who amongst us isn't a bit of a fangirl about something?! *cough*Supernatural*cough*...
This is the most expensive of the bunch at £5.24.

Synopsis - Mother of three and wife of John-Paul, Cecilia discovers an old envelope in the attic. Written in her husband's hand, it says: to be opened only in the event of my death.
Curious, she opens it - and time stops.
John-Paul's letter confesses to a terrible mistake which, if revealed, would wreck their family as well as the lives of others.
Cecilia - betrayed, angry and distraught - wants to do the right thing, but right for who? If she protects her family by staying silent, the truth will worm through her heart. But if she reveals her husband's secret, she will hurt those she loves most . . .
Once again, I've heard a lot about this in the booktube community and on GoodReads so I'm very much looking forward to reading it!
I love the cover too, the colours are amazing, although I don't know what a butterfly in a jar has to do with a husbands secret affair!
This was £3.80.

Synopsis - Kitty Logan has lost her way…
As a journalist, she’s spent the past few years chasing the big scoops – no matter the consequences. When she makes a terrible mistake, she finds herself mired in scandal, her career implodes and even her personal relationships are tested to the limits.
At a loss, Kitty finds distraction in a list of one hundred names her late mentor and boss, Constance, has left her. Kitty’s been given one final chance, the most important assignment of her life – to write the story behind the one hundred names as a tribute piece to Constance. As she tracks down the people on the list and tries to work out what connects them, Kitty meets some extraordinary people.
Can these strangers’ stories help her finally understand her own?
I've just finished Cecelia Ahern's latest book ''How To Fall In Love'' and I adored it and gave it 5 stars on good reads (I'll be doing a full review on here soon!) so after I read that I went on Amazon and picked up the few Cecelia Ahern books I didn't own!
This one sounds interesting, but slightly different to Cecelia's usual books.
The cover is different too, you can't tell from this picture really but it's textured, giving it a wood-like effect.
I got this one for £3.50.

Synopsis - Lose yourself in the magical world of No.1 bestselling author, Cecelia Ahern.
Are you taking your life for granted?
Lucy Silchester is. She’s busied herself with other stuff: friends’ lives, work issues, her deteriorating car, that kind of thing. But she’s stuck in a rut – and deluding everyone. Only Lucy knows the real truth.
Time for a wake-up call – a meeting with life. And life turns out to be a kindly, rather run-down man in an old suit, who is determined to bring about change – and won’t let Lucy off the hook.
Sometimes we all need to make time for our life…
Sorry for the slightly blurry picture! I didn't realise until I put it on the computer.
This sounds more like a classic Ahern! I love the bright pink cover and think this sounds like a nice, fluffy read :).
This is available for £3.86.

Hope you enjoyed this post!
Lots of love x
