April TBR!

Hello literary lovers!!
Time for my April TBR, and I've been quite realistic for next month because March has been a pretty unsuccessful reading month, just because I've been so busy at work and super tired every night, which is predominantly when I do my reading.

TBR time!!
Synopsis - Alyssa Gardner hears the whispers of bugs and flowers, precisely the problem that landed her mother in a mental hospital years before. Surely, she tells herself, it has nothing to do with the fact that she is directly descended from Alice Liddell, the real life inspiration for Alice's Adventures In Wonderland. But when her mother takes a turn for the worse and the whispers grow too strong to bear, Alyssa learns that she's not mad but she must find the origins of a secret family curse. A series of clues leads her through a cracked mirror into the real Wonderland, a place far darker and more twisted than Lewis Carroll ever let on. There she must decide whom to trust: Jeb, her gorgeous best friend and secret crush, or the sexy-but-suspicious Morpheus, her guide through Wonderland who may have dark motives all of his own. A high-concept romantic YA with huge potential.
The cover of this book is so stunning!! Doesn't it make you want to put on a red lip right now?!
Apart from being very aesthetically pleasing, this book sounds really interesting, I've never read Alice In Wonderland but I love the Disney version and I think this sounds like a really good alternative to that story! I love fairytale re-tellings.

Synopsis - CINDER, a gifted mechanic in New Beijing, is also a cyborg. She's reviled by her stepmother and blamed for her stepsister's sudden illness. But when her life becomes entwined with the handsome Prince Kai's, she finds herself at the centre of a violent struggle between the desires of an evil queen - and a dangerous temptation.
Cinder is caught between duty and freedom, loyalty and betrayal. Now she must uncover secrets about her mysterious past in order to protect Earth's future.
Another fairytale re-telling! I'm really liking the sound of these at the moment and I've heard SO much about Cress, the third book in this Lunar Chronicles series, that I couldn't wait to get my hands on Cinder!

Synopsis - Summers span decades. Winter can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne has begun.
It will stretch from the south, where heat breeds plot, lusts and intrigues; to the vast and savage eastern lands; all the way to the frozen north, where an 800-foot wall of ice protects the kingdom from the dark forces that lie beyond. Kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars, lords and honest men… all will play the Game of Thrones.
Winter is coming…
Everyone raves about the TV series of these books, but I can't bring myself to watch it without reading the books first! There is a LOT of books in this series though, so I don't think I'll be getting round to watching it anytime soon haha.

So that's my TBR for this month, I hope to read more than this but you never know what might crop up so I thought I'd keep it small to start with :)
Toodles! x
